H&H were contacted by KML marine contractors to design, build and install a complete electrical dual thruster system. The system was required to interact with an intelligent positioning system which would keep the barge in position during strong tidal conditions.
It was a modular design so this enabled the system to be moved from one vessel to another using plugs and connectors. We installed two main control panels and two engine panels in the wheelhouse which would communicate with both the thrusters and the manual controls.
The project was very successful and passed all its criteria on sea trials.
